Lion Pomeranian dog The Pomeranian is a small, active and intelligent dog breed. The name “Pomeranian” comes from the area in Central Europe called Pomerania. This toy breed dog is believed to have been developed from larger Spitz-type dogs, such as the German Spitz. Today, the Pomeranian is a popular companion dog and show dog. They are also known for being good watchdogs, despite their small size.
Pomeranians typically stand 8 to 11 inches tall at the shoulder and weigh 3 to 7 pounds. They have a thick double coat that can be either short or long, with a dense undercoat. The most common coat colors are orange, black, cream, brown, and white. Pomeranians shed moderately throughout the year, with heavier shedding during the spring and fall.
This breed is known for being lively, playful, and fearless. Pomeranians are also intelligent and easily trained. They can be willful at times but are generally eager to please their owners. Because of their small size, Pomeranians must be socialized early to prevent them from becoming timid or yappy. With proper training and socialization, they make excellent companion dogs.
Pomeranians are relatively healthy dogs, but like all breeds, they are susceptible to certain health conditions. Some of the more common health problems seen in Pomeranians include luxating patella, trichiasis (ingrown eyelashes), teeth problems and von Willebrand’s disease. Pomeranians also have a higher than average risk for developing hypoglycemia (low blood sugar).
With proper care, Pomeranians can live to be 12 to 16 years old. The best way to keep your Pomeranian healthy is to provide them with good nutrition, plenty of exercise and regular visits to the vet. If you are considering adding a Pomeranian to your family, be sure to do your research and find a reputable breeder.ahsas web portal endy vs douglas japan bike for sale in sri lanka normal frock designs 2021 sri lanka
